A short page, because this site uses very few cookies.
The short version
FactsLedger sets no analytics, advertising, profiling or social media cookies. There is no tracking pixel on this site and no third-party script that follows you elsewhere. That is why you are not being shown a consent banner: there is nothing here to consent to.
What may be set
Strictly necessary cookies
Our host, Cloudflare, may set a security cookie (commonly __cf_bm, and in some cases
cf_clearance) to distinguish human visitors from automated traffic and to protect the site from
abuse. These are strictly necessary for the site to be served securely, are short-lived, and are not used to
profile you or to advertise to you. Under UK and EU rules, strictly necessary cookies do not require consent.
Nothing else
We set no cookies of our own for preferences, sessions or measurement. The site's light and dark appearance follows your operating system setting and is not stored anywhere.
Third-party content
We do not embed videos, maps, comment systems, fonts loaded from third-party servers, or social media widgets, so none of those set cookies here. Links to external sources open on those sites, which have their own cookie practices — following a citation to a newspaper means entering that newspaper's cookie regime, not ours.
Controlling cookies
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Blocking Cloudflare's security cookie may cause the site's protection layer to challenge your requests more often, but the content will still be readable.
